Tamtaki means solidarity, special relationships, and commitment to championing Georgian food through a unique, brave approach.
When you come by Tamtaki, nestled on a quiet beautiful corner in Vera, you'll immediately feel at home. As much as consistently amazing taste and a great experience with us, togetherness is what we strive for most of all. Proud and a little daring, yet humble and welcoming, we want to show you our community – and invite you into it – with food.

Georgia
& its deliciously unmistakable cuisine
Many Tamtaki visitors are locals, but just as many come from all around the world. Either way, we want to be your best memory of Georgia.
Georgia is a small and ancient country tucked in the middle of the world, always a bridge from Europe to Asia. History and geography here mean there is always a serendipity to everything Georgia, and especially in Tbilisi, our capital that is cool and relaxed, edgy and full of secrets all at once.
What we mean is: no one is really here by accident. Yet they are constantly surprised. By our alphabet and language, Georgia's history and spirit of independence, by the flavors (our own passion and expertise, of course) in our food, and more than anything, the culture of welcome, humor and hosting that we very much offer at Tamtaki.
So it's in our blood! We are small, independent, Georgian (and Georgian women) 0wned. Like Georgia, we want to make a big and lasting impression.

Tbilisi & Vera
Our neighborhood's old magic
Vera holds a special place for Tbilisians: it is a maze of hilly, cobblestoned streets with a cosmopolitan feel, yet a calm and closeness that is distinctly Old World.
We love our neighborhood around Tamtaki: we are close to many of the city's biggest hotels, Vera Park, the funicular up to Mtatsminda, and a growing set of hip and trendy shops. Yet we are tucked away from the action, on a quiet street that feels from an earlier era (because it is!). We keep it chill here, and why we welcome you not only to eat with us, but to stay with us.
Read a book at our counter, surround yourself by friends and wine at our tables, chat with our very chatty multilingual staff, or enjoy the view out front on one of the benches.
All with your favorite Tamtaki to eat, or even in hand. This is Vera at its best.

Our friends and partners
Who make Tamtaki fresh and vibrant
Georgians act like a big family, because it usually feels like we are one. And here, that's how a small restaurant thrives.
At Tamtaki we source ingredients locally, whether for our special bread we make on premises or the diverse amazing flavors on top of it. If we run out of a vegetable, we head up the street to buy more, and know exactly the best place to get it.
Everything we do is about uncompromising quality, the value of old friends, and supporting that same local spirit among so many of our neighbors, suppliers and collaborators. Our feeling: if we can't support each other, who will?
That also includes many of the creatives and likeminded chefs around Tbilisi, with whom we regularly co-create special events, as well as showing up for the city's food festivals, doing food education, and much more.
We stay busy and we like it that way.
