Georgian food often draws the curiosity of global food personalities. And recently, so have our takes on street food.
Several years ago Anthony Bourdain and Parts Unknown came through, and last summer we were especially happy to welcome Netflix's Phil Rosenthal and his Somebody Feed Phil production team at Tamtaki, sharing in their Season 8, Episode 4 travels through Georgia.
We were SO happy to host Phil in our kitchen, discovering Georgia's unique ingredients through Tamta's creations, and extra lucky to stroll around the neighbrhood for ice cream and join the episode's final sendoff at Tbilisi's well-known Ezo restaurant (which also hosts a local farmers market every Sunday), too.
Here was his full itinerary in Georgia.
And some memories from his stop by Tamtaki:

When I think about hope, I’m gonna have Georgia on my mind. - Phil Rosenthal, Somebody Feed Phil
The entire episode richly encapsulates the range of Georgia's culinary culture, big and small, formal and casual, plus the labor of love devoted to our food and wine to life, and the perseverance in the heart of our people.
We hear often that his show introduced many viewers to us, and to Georgia herself.
It is was a true honor to have Phil and his entire team!
